The Ontario Lawn Bowling Association is divided into 16 districts. District 16 is comprised of clubs in Eastern Ontario, Ottawa (Nepean, Highland Park and Elmdale), Almonte, Brockville, Deep River, Golbourn and Iroquois. This website is a a go-to resource for all district members.

Ottawa Short Mat Bowling has opened for the winter!

New this fall there will be short mat bowling on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 PM starting on October 22. These session will run until Christmas when the program will be re-evaluated.

Congratulations to Ron Beaupre from the Iroquois LBC. Ron's contributions to the club did not go unnoticed by the club members.

ONTARIO LAWN BOWLING DISTRICT 16

What we do.

The Ontario Lawn Bowling Association (OLBA) is composed of 16 Districts. Each District has an elected Committee that is charged under the OLB bylaws to:

Conduct a Spring District Meeting, to be held following the OLB Spring Meeting;
Conduct a Fall District Meeting to be held before the Fall Association meeting;
Prepare the District Tournament Schedule for the coming season, and forwards a copy to the OLB;
Conduct the Ontario Championship District Playdowns, in accordance with the District Tournament Schedule; and
Performs such other duties as may determined by the OLB Board of Directors from time to time.

In addition, District 16 performs a number of functions on behalf of the Clubs that operate within the District. These include:

Recruitment, Training and Development of Coaches and Umpires;
Assistance with the development and growth of Lawn Bowling and Clubs within the District;
Providing guidelines for the conduct of tournaments within the District; and
Providing recognition of the achievements of Lawn Bowlers and Clubs within the District.
